Did You Know...
Did you know that less than 5% of preschool children receive an eye exam and less than 22% receive a vision screening? An average of 20% of the children that receive a Lions KidSight Vision Screening are recommended to receive a complete eye exam. Between July 21, 2021 and February of 2022, over 13,000 children have been screened in our district, with over 2700 being referred for further vision testing.
Vision Screening Equipment Information
The Spot Vision Screener is a handheld, portable device designed to help users quickly and easily detect vision issues in patients from 6 months of age to adult. Spot screens both eyes at a distance of 3 feet so as not to cause anyone discomfort. The touch-screen display has a one-touch activation system, simple management of patient data, and easy configuration for both vision screening and autorefraction applications.
